Scholarships
- The Begun Scholarship — $3,000 for a continuing student who has demonstrated a commitment to becoming children’s or young adult librarian in a California public library
- The Caroline M. Hewins Scholarship — $4,000 for library students (new and continuing) who plan to specialize in library work with children. Preference given to applicants who plan to pursue a career in public library service.
- Rose Treviño Memorial Scholarship — for library students pursuing children’s or young adult librarianship
- ALSC Frederic G. Melcher Scholarship* — $8,000 for a first-year library student who plans to work in children’s librarianship
- ALSC Bound to Stay Bound Books Scholarship* — $8,000 for a first-year library student who plans to work in children’s librarianship
- Mary V. Gaver Scholarship* — $3,000 for a first-year library student who plans to work in children’s librarianship
- ALA Spectrum Scholarship* — general scholarship for BIPOC library students (new and continuing), $5,000 + travel expenses to the Spectrum Leadership Institute at the next ALA Annual Conference. ALSC and YALSA each sponsor a few Spectrum Scholars every year.

Other Grants
- YALSA Dorothy Broderick Student Conference Scholarship — up to $1,000 for a grad student to attend the ALA Annual Conference
- YALSA Young Adult Services Symposium Stipends — up to $1,000 for a library student to attend the Young Adult Services Symposium
- YALSA Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship — up to $3,000 for expenses related to research on teens, learning, and libraries
